Local firm scoops brace of awards
A Grimsby company has been recognised for its exceptional business success, increased turnover and fine customer service with a brace of awards.
Recognition Express Eastern, a franchise owned by Alan John and David Tector, was highlighted as a shining example of what can be achieved on a national level.
The pair picked up Best Case Study and Milestone awards at the recent Recognition Express national conference.
Mr John said: "We are delighted to receive these awards. We are all approaching challenging times but our results prove that hard work and a positive attitude are the keys to continued success."
He has been heading up Recognition Express in Grimsby for 17 years, supplying corporate recognition products such as name badges, photo identity cards, branded promotional items, business gifts and signage. Just under nine years ago Mr John was joined by David Tector who later bought shares in the company.
Mr Tector said that a wider customer base had been reached through team effort and a dedication to product quality, fast turnaround and exemplary service.
The awards were presented at a gala dinner in Daventry. Recognition Express managing director Nigel Toplis said: "With so much gloom and doom around at the moment it was good for us all to take a break and celebrate our successes. We have a proven business model and the awards given out at the gala dinner underline this strength."
Owners and their partners from more than 30 Recognition Express businesses attended the black tie dinner, after a two day sales conference to network, share business ideas, and enhance their wide range of promotional items and corporate clothing.
